Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric ICU - $2,175 per week

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Omaha, NE. Start date: 11/09/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 40 hours per week, 8-hour evening shifts. Employment type: Travel.

About the role

This position is located in the pediatric intensive care unit of the healthcare provider. It involves delivering specialized respiratory therapy and clinical care to pediatric patients, utilizing electronic charting systems and advanced ventilator equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide general floor therapy including nebulizer therapy, EzPAP, IPV, CPAP, BiPAP, Acapella, CPT, Vest therapy, ABGs, and oxygen delivery devices.
• Experience with ventilator extubation protocols and ABGs is required.
• Float to other units/departments as needed.
• Utilize electronic charting (EPIC system), medication systems (Omnicell, Pyxis), and ventilator equipment (V60 BiPAP, Focus, Synchrony CPAP/BiPAP).

Requirements

• Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Active AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• State license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• High School Diploma required
• Minimum of 2 years of floor experience or 1+ year of ICU experience
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience recommended
• Active license with willingness to wait; confirmation of certifications and compliance documentation needed

Schedule

Evenings, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
