Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU - $2,029 per week

About the role

Immediate opening for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) in a NICU setting. Provide direct patient care across clinical areas including evaluations and treatments per procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines
• Collaborate with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience (2 years may be required per facility)
• NBRC-RRT certification
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification (may be required in some areas)
• NRP certification (may be required in some areas)
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment begins

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for patient moving/lifting
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay & Schedule

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
