Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,600 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a pediatric position in Aurora, Colorado. The role is an Allied Health Professional specialty with a start date of October 6, 2026, lasting 14 weeks, requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts as a travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience (some references note 3 years of experience may be required).
• Current NBRC‑RRT certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification (may be required in some areas).
• NRP certification (may be required in some areas).
• Active RRT license.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds routinely, with patient handling requiring up to 50 pounds at times.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
