Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Possess specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute‑care experience (note: posting also references 5 years in requirements list)
• NBRC‑RRT credential
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – may be required in some areas
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – may be required in some areas
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
