Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,380 per week
Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves providing critical care respiratory therapy to a diverse patient population across NICU, pediatric, and adult units, including high-acuity neonatal and trauma patients. Candidates must have experience with all age groups and be proficient with advanced respiratory equipment and procedures.
Job Details
Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
Valid MD or Compact Respiratory Therapist License;
certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS;
experience with all age groups (neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics);
minimum 0 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with charting systems such as Epic;
community hospital experience;
trauma level I or II experience;
previous travel experience preferred.
Patient Ratios
Nights 12 patients per respiratory therapist.
Additional Information
Must have significant experience in neonatal intensive care units (NICU) and pediatric intensive care units (PICU), with ability to care for neonates as small as 22 weeks gestation.
Must be comfortable working with high-frequency jet ventilation devices, Nitric Oxide machines, and other advanced respiratory equipment.
The NICU setting involves handling higher acuity cases, requiring competence across all age groups and complex procedures, including jet high-frequency vents, ECMO, and oscillators.
The department is flexible to assign shifts based on skillset within adult and pediatric care settings, including emergency trauma and medical-surgical intensive care units.
Floating within scope is required, and candidates must be comfortable with cross-unit responsibilities.
