Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,230 per week

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Olney, Illinois. This role supports quality patient care during the COVID-19 crisis as part of the Respiratory Team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to develop and ensure patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation
• Promote continuous quality improvement
• Teach and counsel patients and families

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
• At least 2 years of work experience
• Compassionate and detail-oriented with strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety

Pay

Pay depends on location and experience, with a competitive package offered. The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, including a tax-free stipend (amount to be determined).
