Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Farmington, Connecticut. Start date: October 16, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Hours: 36 hours per week. Shift: 12‑hour days. Employment type: Travel. Immediate opening; requires 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments per procedural guidelines.
• Administer simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• NBRC certification (RRT).
• NRP certification.
• ACLS may be required.
• PALS may be required in some areas.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
