Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,080 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel position in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (some references note 2 years; both are stated).
• NBRC‑RRT certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS and NRP may be required depending on the assignment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 lbs.
• Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

12‑hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, for a 13‑week travel assignment.
