Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Sterling, Colorado. This position involves providing respiratory care, pulmonary, and cardiology diagnostic testing to pediatric patients in various healthcare settings. The role requires independently delivering patient-centered care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or technical degree
  • Proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current license in Colorado
  • Blood Gas Technologist certification (if applicable)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Clinical techniques, applications, and equipment knowledge from at least one year of clinical experience

  • Additional related education and/or experience

Additional Information

  • Performs all basic modalities of respiratory care and pulmonary/cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed
  • Assembles, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and adjusts durable medical equipment for respiratory care
  • Assesses patients, evaluates responses, and makes clinical recommendations
  • Communicates effectively with resource staff and may supervise department staff
  • Works in a typical direct patient care environment requiring physical agility and effective communication skills
