Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, offering intensive respiratory therapy and patient transport into and out of the healthcare facility as medically prescribed, within the scope of a professional license. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, explaining procedures, and providing patient education upon discharge.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients
- Administer respiratory treatments
- Operate ventilatory and oxygen delivery equipment
- Perform patient assessments
- Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans

- Transport patients into and out of the healthcare facility as medically prescribed
- Operate various ventilatory equipment
- Conduct pulmonary function studies
- Insert and remove endotracheal tubes
- Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy
- Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning
- Monitor patient responses to therapy
- Maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with physicians concerning therapy efficacy
Requirements
- Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Valid state licensure
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
Schedule
Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
