Access Healthcare is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Salem, Massachusetts.
Unit Details
- Unit Name: Respiratory
- Facility: Salem Hospital, a 371 licensed bed facility with 220 Med/Surg beds, MICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, a Level 2B Nursery, and more.
- Shift: 12 hours, nights (straight Nights; Day position may rotate to 11a-11p when needed)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Nights and EOW (every other weekend)
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services in an acute care setting
- Draw arterial blood gases
- Operate and manage ventilators including PB980 Ventilator and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator
- Cover assignments across ICU (20-bed unit) and Med/Surg floors
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy
- Active MA Respiratory Therapist License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- 2 years working in one location, plus 1 to 2 years working as a Traveler
- Vent experience in an acute care setting
Unit Staffing & Ratios
- Day Shift: 1 on Charge, 2 assigned to 20-bed ICU, 2 assigned to Med/Surg Floors (5 total)
- Eves: 5 staffed
- Nights: 4 staffed
Equipment & Charting
- EMR (Charting System): EPIC
- Equipment Used: PB980 Ventilator, Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator
