Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,050 per week
About the role
Access Healthcare is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 8-week assignment in Florence, South Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Performs direct patient care and the provision of Respiratory Care and Hyperbaric Medicine (for those specially trained) procedures in all areas within the facility.
- Performs all procedures according to policy & procedure. Organizes workload to ensure therapy is completed as prescribed.
- Participates in all aspects of Respiratory Care educational activities & departmental meetings.
- Documents & maintains records, charts and reports in a timely manner & documents appropriately.
- Responds to Code Blue & Rapid Response alerts in a timely manner & documents appropriately.
- Exercises sound clinical judgement & assessment skills to provide appropriate provision of patient care & monitoring & communication of information to other caregivers.
- Evaluates patient care & makes recommendations when needed.
- Special trained – Performs Pulmonary Functions, Methacholine Challenges, Hyperbaric Medicine, NICU care, PICU care and Asthma Education.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
- Specialized training in Pulmonary Functions, Methacholine Challenges, Hyperbaric Medicine, NICU care, PICU care and Asthma Education.
- Experience in respiratory care and hyperbaric medicine.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Passport required for international assignments.
Qualifications
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Proficient in respiratory care procedures.
- Knowledge of hyperbaric medicine and its applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Benefits
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
