About the role
Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Salem, Massachusetts. 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend (EOW) rotation. Unit: Respiratory at Salem Hospital, a 371-licensed-bed facility with 220 Med/Surg beds, MICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, and a Level 2B Nursery.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy in an acute care setting, including ventilator management
- Draw arterial blood gases
- Day position may rotate to 11a–11p when needed; night position is straight nights
- Clinician-to-patient ratios: 5 Respiratory Therapists staffed during the day shift (1 charge, 2 in 20-bed ICU, 2 on Med/Surg floors), 5 on evenings, and 4 on nights
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in one location, plus 1–2 years as a traveler
- Vent experience in an acute care setting
Skills
- Proficiency with PB980 Ventilator and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator
- Experience with EPIC EMR (charting system)
Pay
Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
