About the role
Focus Staff is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Hershey, Pennsylvania, starting 11/03/2026. The position involves 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift (3x12 nights). As a member of the Respiratory Team, you will develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists, providing quality patient care during the COVID-19 crisis. This is a travel/contract/temporary position. Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist; Discipline: Allied Health Professional.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
- Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
- Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
- Performing timely and accurate documentation
- Promoting continuous quality improvement
- Teaching and counseling patients/families
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Current CPR or BCLS certification required; BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
- At least 2 years of work experience
- Phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
- Compassionate and sensitive demeanor
