Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,914 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Deming, New Mexico. The position is for an Allied Health Professional working 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS, NBRC, ACLS certifications; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds easily; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
