Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The start date is August 3, 2026, and the shift is 12-hour nights.

  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour shift
  • Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC

Essential Work Functions

Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans, examine and interview patients, perform diagnostic tests, treat patients through various methods, set up and monitor equipment, observe and record patient status and progress, work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment, and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice.

Required Essential Skills

  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • The ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
