Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,911 per week

TotalMed Allied, a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Grants Pass, Oregon. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments per procedural guidelines.
• Administer simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Possess specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current NBRC certification (RRT).
• Current NRP certification (may be required depending on assignment).
• ACLS certification required; PALS may be required in some areas.

Schedule

• 12‑hour night shifts.
• 36 hours per week.
• Duration: 13 weeks.
