Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,789 per week

About the role

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Saint Louis, Missouri. 26‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Immediate opening for a travel RT.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintains appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluates equipment for proper and safe function.
• Reports malfunctions to director.
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interacts with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
• Responds to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Current NBRC, ACLS, BLS, and RRT certification.
• PALS and/or NRP may be required depending on the assignment.

Skills

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Possesses close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
