Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,789 per week

About the role

We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Cookeville, TN. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintains appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluates equipment for proper and safe function.
• Reports malfunctions to director.
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interacts with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
• Responds to emergent situations that could require Respiratory support.

Requirements

• 1 year recent acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• Required certifications: BLS, RRT, ACLS, PALS, NBRC.
• 2 years experience preferred (per requirements list).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Physical requirements: ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 pounds easily; patient lifting up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
