Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,745 per week

Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position in Lehi, Utah. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting. The therapist will perform patient assessments, diagnostics, and therapy plan evaluations, supporting patient care within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (i.e., CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP).
• Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (AHA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC.
• A valid license to practice is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.

Duties

• Responsible for patient assessments, care plans, and therapy evaluations.
• Conducts diagnostic testing including arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function tests (PFTs), electrocardiograms (EKGs), and procedures like bronchoscopy and pulse oximetry.
• Transports patients within the hospital or between facilities.
• May work flexible hours, including overtime, before and after standard hours, with on-call and standby requirements.

Additional Information

• Position may require working standard hours as well as flexible and overtime hours.
• Call or standby coverage is required outside of scheduled shifts.
• Cancellation policy allows hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
