Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,677 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Jackson, Tennessee. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts, and is an immediate travel opening. Candidates should have at least one year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification; PALS and/or NRP may be required depending on the assignment.
• ARRT (T) certification.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds routinely, with occasional patient‑handling lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
