Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,677 per week

About the role

We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Tulsa, OK. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintains appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluates equipment for proper and safe function.
• Reports malfunctions to director.
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interacts with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
• Responds to emergent situations that could require Respiratory support.

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience (note: requirements summary also lists 2 years).
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• NBRC certification.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

13-week travel assignment. 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts.

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
