Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,649 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Beaufort, South Carolina. We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Beaufort, SC. The right RT should have 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Possess specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• PALS and NRP may be required depending on the assignment area.
• NBRC certification (Registered Respiratory Therapist).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Skills

Physical demands: ability to stand/walk for long periods, bend/lean/stoop, lift 20 lbs (up to 50 lbs for patient handling). Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Duration: 13 weeks; 36 hours per week; shift pattern: 12‑hour days.
