Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,583 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Florence, South Carolina. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Candidates should have at least one year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds (patient moving may require up to 50 pounds).
• Possess specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Current NBRC certification.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS (some areas may require PALS and NRP).
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (some references indicate 2 years may be required).
• Ability to meet the physical demands described above.
