Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,528 per week

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Newark, Ohio. Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist; Discipline: Allied Health Professional. 8‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts. Immediate opening for a travel RT with recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Current NBRC certification.
• BLS certification (ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas).
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
• Required vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
