Registered Nurse – Outpatient travel assignment in Philadelphia, PA.

Start date: 08/24/2026 for 8 weeks with extensions based on practice needs and performance.

Weekly pay: $1,347–$1,433 per week.

Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week.

Contract duration: 8 weeks with extensions based on need and performance.

Shift: 5x8 Days.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient education via phone and in-person as needed, including glucose meter use and injection instructions (e.g., Ozempic) for outpatient/endocrinology-related care.
• Confirm prior authorizations, process prescription refills, and place/coordinate lab orders as directed.
• Document patient interactions and care plans in the EPIC EMR with accuracy and HIPAA compliance.
• Triage patient questions and coordinate with the endocrinology/metabolic medicine care team to determine next steps.
• Support the outpatient practice workflow by coordinating education materials, referrals, and follow-up communications.

Requirements

• EPIC EMR experience is REQUIRED.
• Ability to deliver patient education both by phone and in person.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to support a busy outpatient setting.
• Willingness to work a 5x8 day schedule in a hospital-based outpatient environment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with care teams and manage multiple tasks in parallel.
