Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10 hours (6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for the surgical patient, circulating in all specialty areas as needed
• Assist with transitions through the perioperative process, including patient assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluation
• Circulate in multiple specialties (Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, Dental); scrubbing experience encouraged
• Maintain sterile technique, infection control standards, and patient safety throughout procedures
• Prepare for potential emergency cases and be ready for short-notice on-call cases

Requirements

• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Licenses: Valid, current RN license from the state of residence; licensure from any U.S. state is acceptable; AZ state license not required
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association within six months of hire
• Perioperative credentials: CNOR certification (CCI) within one year of hire; TNCC within two years of hire; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completed within six months of hire
• Experience: Two years of clinical nursing and/or operating room practical experience
• Ability to work in a multi-specialty OR and participate in on-call coverage as required
