Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the NICU at an acute-care hospital in Glendale, California. Assignment begins 08/24/2026 and lasts 8 weeks.
Schedule
- Night shift, 3×12-hour shifts per week
- Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
Pay
Weekly pay range: $2,442–$2,625.
Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for NICU patients using the nursing process and established standards
- Monitor neonates’ vital signs, respiratory status, IVs, medications, and equipment; respond promptly to changes in condition
- Develop and implement care plans, evaluate progress, and adjust interventions to achieve outcomes; participate in discharge planning
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, respiratory therapy, nursing, and allied staff) to coordinate care and promote a safe, healing environment
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; delegate duties and coordinate duties of the care team
- Document accurately in the electronic health record systems (EPIC and Cerner)
- Provide education to patients/families and treatment teams; participate in family teaching
Requirements
- Active registered nursing license in California
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted with relevant NICU experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU or acute-care RN experience
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (BLS HS-BLS or RQI BLS accepted per policy)
- Proficiency with EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems; recent experience required
- Ability to work night shifts in a 24/7 hospital NICU environment
- Vaccinations required as a condition of employment, consistent with organizational policy
