About the role
Registered Nurse position in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital Med Surg setting in Lancaster, OH. This 13-week travel assignment starts on 08/24/2026 and offers 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 3x12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM).
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned Med Surg patients using the nursing process
- Administer medications and treatments accurately; monitor patient responses and report changes to the physician
- Provide education to patients and families from admission through discharge; document the nursing process clearly and concisely
- Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status; coordinate with the health care team to ensure continuity of care
- Supervise and direct the work of nursing assistants as appropriate; ensure supplies and equipment are available and report equipment malfunctions
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and guidelines; contribute to a safe, patient-centered care environment
Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license (active)
- CPR certification required
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
- Prior RN experience preferred; Med Surg in a high-acuity setting is a plus
- Ability to work the listed night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) in a Med Surg environment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
Pay
Weekly pay: $1,859–$1,935 per week for 36 guaranteed hours.
Schedule
13-week contract with a 3x12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM).
