Registered Nurse, Float Pool, Geneva, New York.

Start date: 08/17/2026 for 22–26 weeks.

Weekly pay range: $2,018–$2,132 per week.

Guaranteed hours: 0.0.

Shift: 3x12-hour days (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) with holiday coverage.

This travel temporary assignment is in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting.

  • Provide direct patient care across multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER) as needed, following physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Maintain patient status, perform ongoing assessments, and communicate changes to the care team.
  • Administer medications and treatments, document in the electronic medical record, and ensure accuracy of orders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort, respond to emergencies, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to float to ICU/ER/MS/MST and adapt care plans for age-specific needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care across multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER) as needed, following physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Maintain patient status, perform ongoing assessments, and communicate changes to the care team.

Requirements

  • NYS Licensed Registered Professional Nurse.
  • BSN required.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (through American Heart Association or RQI).
  • NIHSS required.
  • Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire.
  • CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units.
  • Ability to work in a floating capacity across ICU, ER, Med/Surg, and related units.
  • Comfort handling confidential information and collaborating effectively in a team environment.
