Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Overview
A registered nurse (RN) position is available for a 8-week emergency room (ER) travel assignment in Hanford, California starting on August 17, 2026. The weekly pay range is $2,008–$2,169 with guaranteed hours of 48 per week. The shift is a 3-night 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Setting
The facility is a 173-bed short-term acute care hospital serving the Kings County community. It uses EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems.
Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ER patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and adjust care as needed
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; delegate duties and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Document care and patient responses in EPIC and Cerner; collaborate on discharge planning and provide education to patients and families
Requirements
- Current RN license in California (state of practice) or eligibility to practice in the state
- BLS certification from an approved vendor; ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
- EPIC and Cerner experience required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- BSN preferred
