Travel Registered Nurse Dialysis Job

About the role

Registered Nurse – Dialysis position in Burlington, VT, starting 11/02/2026 for a 16‑week travel assignment. Work in a hospital‑based outpatient dialysis unit serving ESRD patients, with required floating to St. Albans and Berlin as needed. The assignment includes Saturday coverage, no on‑call duties, and offers a 9‑hour day shift with flexibility to work 8, 9, 10, or 12‑hour shifts as needed.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,618 – $2,814 per week (no guaranteed hours).

Schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide hemodialysis treatment for outpatient ESRD patients, adhering to unit protocols and physician orders
• Monitor patient status during dialysis, including vital signs, fluid balance, and treatment responses; identify and respond to alarms promptly
• Manage vascular access care (fistulas/grafts) and related patient safety considerations
• Perform accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC) within required timeframes
• Collaborate with nephrology, nursing, and support staff; coordinate care across floating assignments as needed
• Educate patients on dialysis procedures, post‑treatment care, and infection control best practices
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and infection prevention standards; participate in routine unit activities and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• BLS certification (AHA)
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient dialysis experience
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Ability to work in outpatient dialysis settings and to float to St. Albans and Berlin as required
• Saturday coverage required; no on‑call duties
