About the role
Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the cath lab and peri-procedural area at a short-term acute care hospital with an on-site cardiovascular program. Supervise nursing staff, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and participate in interventional procedures as scrub or circulator.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care following established standards and the nursing process
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and implement care
- Perform pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure care
- Monitor hemodynamic status, patient comfort, and safety during interventional procedures
- Participate in interventional procedures (catheterization, angiography, PCI) as scrub or circulator
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure equipment readiness
- Initiate and manage IV access, administer medications per orders, and monitor responses
- Assist with sedation/anesthesia as directed
- Support discharge planning and provide patient and family education
- Contribute to a safe, healing environment and effective care transitions
Requirements
- Licensed RN in the state of practice (current license required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care or cath lab/interventional settings
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS (American Heart Association) or ARC-ALS required
- BSN preferred
- Active RN license and eligibility for licensure in the assignment state
- Ability to work in a fast-paced interventional environment and collaborate across disciplines
Pay
Weekly pay: $2,872–$3,091 per week.
Schedule
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Shift: Day shift, typically 5x8 with hours varying (commonly 7:00 AM–4:30 PM or 6:30 AM–5:00 PM)
- Flexible to 4/10s or 3/12s as needed
