Pay
Weekly pay: $2,172 - $2,301
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 32 guaranteed hours per week
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on standard nursing practice; collaborate with other health professionals to provide quality, cost-effective care and achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Serve as a resource and apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in rendering patient care
- Administer treatments and medications, interpret diagnostic tests, provide patient and family education, and document care activities
- Utilize basic EKG skills and relevant medical equipment as appropriate for the position
- Supervise unit staff such as secretaries and clinical support personnel in collaboration with the Charge Nurse as needed
Requirements
- Current, valid Alaska Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing; ability to practice per Alaska RN standards
- Completion of a nursing education program from an NLN-approved institution
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Preferred one year of healthcare experience as a Registered Nurse
- Ability to work in a hospital environment, apply the nursing process, and collaborate across disciplines
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow professional guidelines and procedures; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination required
