Travel Registered Dietician (Clinical) Job

A Registered Dietitian (Clinical) travel assignment in Bakersfield, California.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nutritional assessment and reassessment for patients identified with nutritional risk criteria;
- Develop and implement nutrition care plans;
- Educate patients and families;
- Document interventions in accordance with policy and acceptable practice standards;
- Act as a competent clinician delivering clinical nutrition care in a skilled and effective manner, utilizing appropriate technical and decision-making skills;
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in rounds; adjust nutrition plans based on patient progress and orders;
- Maintain monitoring of nutrition status, identify changes, and escalate as needed; ensure timely updates to care plans and documentation in the electronic health record;
- Communicate nutritional goals and education to patients, families, and staff; maintain policy-compliant documentation and adherence to standards.
Requirements
- Active California license as a Registered Dietitian or eligibility to obtain licensure;
- Certification as a Registered Dietitian (CDR) or eligibility;
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from an ACEND-accredited program; supervised practice completed;
- Ability to work 40 hours per week in a dayshift travel assignment;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in documentation and electronic health records; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Start date: 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks.
Weekly pay range: $2,649–$2,775 per week.
Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week.
Contract duration: 8 weeks.
Shift: Days.
Work setting: Inpatient clinical nutrition in an acute care setting.
