About the Role

  • Cath Lab Tech position—do NOT submit without Cath Lab experience
  • Very busy lab; must be willing to stay until all cases are completed, take call, and maintain flexible scheduling
  • 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts (08:30–20:30)
  • 1 weekend shift per month (Friday evening to Monday AM every 4–5 weeks)

Call Requirements

  • 2 weekday nights per call cycle (7:00 PM to 6:30 AM)
  • Weekend call every 4–5 weeks (Friday 7:00 PM to Monday 6:30 AM)
  • 2 call teams rotate every 12 hours (1st and 2nd call); not on primary call the entire weekend
  • May include holiday call if it falls on scheduled rotation
  • No call-back minimum at CAMC

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of Cath Lab diagnostic and interventional procedures, including structural cardiology
  • Handle adult cardiology and structural cardiology patient diagnoses
  • Operate and assist with special procedures and equipment, including:
    • LHC, RHC, PCI, CTO, Impella, IABP, ECMO, TPM, shock wave, IVUS, Pneumbra
    • TAVR, Watchman (Mitral and Tricuspid valve procedures starting October)
  • Use Cerner EHR and Siemens Artiz Z & Q radiology equipment
  • Manage specialized equipment: Impella, IABP, Philips Volcano IVUS, BSC IVUS, CTO-Abbott, Shockwave

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Cath Lab diagnostic and interventional procedures, including structural
  • No first-time travelers accepted; must have prior travel and lab experience with all procedures
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT(BD), and ARRT(R)
  • WV state license required (pending license accepted for submission but must be active to start)
  • RCIS or RCES credentials are NOT accepted (WV does not consider RCIS licensed for Cath Lab work)
  • Permanent address must be at least 100 miles from the facility (75–99 miles considered case-by-case)
  • No floating required to sister facilities
  • No RTO restrictions
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
