Travel assignment for a Radiology Technologist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
About the role
13-week travel position at a Level III Trauma Center with Magnet designation and Primary Stroke Center. The facility has 636 beds and includes a Level III NICU.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in 5 diagnostic rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room, 2 clinic diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental room
- Handle inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural cases across all age ranges (minimal pediatrics)
- Conduct portable imaging and surgical/procedure support, including orthopedic, general, and spine surgeries
- Perform fluoro procedures such as ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, and urology cases
- Participate in on-call shifts (one per week) and weekend rotation (every other weekend)
- Work one holiday per 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute or surgical experience
- ARRT certification and Wisconsin state license
- BLS certification
- Highly competent in surgery and procedure experience; preference for comfort with o-arm technology
- Experience with mid-to-high level hospital settings, including fluoro and portables
Facility & Unit Details
- Unit census: 15-20 patients per tech per day
- Support staff: Lead tech on first shift, radiologist on-site 24/7, 14 techs on days, 7 on second shift, 3 on third shift, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, intensivist 24/7
- Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR, Client/Fuji/Del Medical X-ray equipment, McKesson PACS, Client 9900/Elites C-arms, Healthcare o-arms
- Orientation: 7 days in department
- Scrubs: Surgery scrubs provided in-house
- Parking: Free
- Unit culture: Fast-paced with high-acuity patients
Schedule
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts (5-8's, start time between 08:30–10:30)
- Every other weekend rotation with one day off during the week leading up to and following the work weekend
- On-call requirement: One call shift per week (1st: 06:30–14:00, 2nd: 14:00–22:30, 3rd: 22:30–06:30)
- One holiday per 13-week contract
