About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for an assignment in Lebanon, New Hampshire. This is an immediate opening with the following details:
- Duration: 11 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours, evenings
- Employment Type: Travel
Responsibilities
As a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech), you will:
- Use diagnostic imaging equipment to produce accurate images for physician interpretation.
- Prepare and care for patients undergoing radiologic testing.
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
- Explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support.
- Follow physician orders to determine which areas of the patient's body require imaging.
- Correctly position patients and adjust imaging equipment.
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to yourself and patients by taking appropriate precautions.
- Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ARRT (R) National Certification.
- State-specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
