About the role

We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients before imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while following radiation safety and ALARA principles.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic imaging equipment in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete electronic medical record entries as required.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely diagnostic services.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any maintenance concerns.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Diagnostic X-Ray experience required.
  • ARRT (R) certification required.
  • Previous travel assignment experience required. First-time travelers will only be considered with 3+ years of recent X-Ray experience.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, imaging techniques, and radiation safety.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
  • Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from the assignment location to qualify.
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.
  • Valid driver’s license is required with the submission.
  • Candidates must meet all compliance requirements before the assignment begins.
  • Current influenza vaccination is required with no exemptions.

Schedule

  • Night shift: Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM (5 x 8-hour shifts).
  • Weekend coverage as needed.
  • Schedule may be adjusted based on departmental needs.
  • Block scheduling is not available.
