About the role
Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel Radiology Technician for a 13-week assignment in Montgomery, Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center.
- Primary patient types include inpatients and outpatients, adults, and occasionally pediatrics (outpatients/ED).
- Primary responsibilities involve patient ratios of 1:1, with an average of 4 patients per hour (40 patients per day).
- Required certifications include BLS, ARRT, CT/State license (prefer), MRI registry/State license (prefer), and Radiology state license (xray prefer) (AL has no state license for xray -ARRT required and ARRT certification in CT required for CT).
- Skills required include X-ray: Fluoroscopy experience required, surgery experience required, portable, trauma and diagnostic. O-arm experience is preferred. DEXA is a plus but not required.
- Technology/Equipment includes EMR: Cerner, Xray – GE and Siemens Fluoro rooms, Konica DR room, 2 Siemens x-ray rooms, GE portables, Carestream portable. Floating throughout the hospital.
- Orientation involves 1-8-hour hospital orientation, 2-3 shifts on unit (Dayshift w/another tech).
- Scheduling includes weekend rotation (typically once a month) and on-call (voluntary).
- Holiday expectations vary, per hospital policy.
- Approval of time off can be approved up to 7 days off on your behalf, with preference for email communication.
- Shift times are 12H/10H/8H, with a schedule cycle that does not allow self-scheduling; smart square.
- Other notes include scrub color and free parking.
Requirements
- Must have 1-year experience with the required skills.
- Will consider first-time travelers with at least 2-years’ experience with the required skills.
Qualifications
