About the role
Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel Radiology Technician for a 13-week assignment in Montgomery, Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Radiology Technician in a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center.
- Work in various departments including the main radiology department, using EMR systems like Cerner and technology such as GE and Siemens equipment.
- Provide patient care in an environment that includes inpatient and outpatient services, adult patients, and occasionally pediatric outpatients and emergency department patients.
- Assist with patient ratios of 1:1, averaging 4 patients per hour with a total of 40 patients per day.
- Perform procedures requiring certifications such as BLS, ARRT, CT/State license, MRI registry, and Radiology state license (xray).
- Operate various imaging modalities including fluoroscopy, surgery, portable, trauma, diagnostic, and DEXA.
- Participate in 1-8 hour hospital orientation and 2-3 shifts on the unit, including dayshift with another tech.
- Work under weekend rotation and on-call schedule, which is voluntary.
- Manage shift times from 12H to 8H, with a schedule cycle that does not allow self-scheduling.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in radiology technician roles.
- Experience with X-ray, fluoroscopy, surgery, portable, trauma, and diagnostic procedures.
- Preferred certifications include BLS, ARRT, CT/State license, MRI registry, and Radiology state license (xray).
- DEXA experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center.
- Knowledge of EMR systems like Cerner and familiarity with imaging modalities such as GE and Siemens equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARRT certification in X-ray.
- CT/State license (preferred but not required).
- MRI registry/State license (preferred but not required).
- Radiology state license (xray preferred but not required due to Alabama's lack of state license for xray).
Skills
- X-ray: Fluoroscopy experience required, surgery experience required, portable, trauma and diagnostic.
- O-arm experience is preferred.
- DEXA is a plus but not required.

Pay
The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
