Responsibilities
Operate MRI scanner to produce cross-sectional scans and compile them into 3-dimensional images for radiologists
Consistently obtain high-quality imaging suitable for interpretation; position patients as needed
Demonstrate general understanding of PACS and manage image storage and retrieval
Maintain safety for everyone within MRI zones, including screen procedures and equipment checks
Document patient care activities in hospital records and communicate findings to the radiology team
Interact compassionately with patients and collaborate with co-workers to support the organization’s mission and values
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or closely related field required
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT Radiography certification and State of Maine Radiography license required; ARRT Radiography registration also required
- Certification: ARRT MRI certification preferred
- Experience: MRI-related imaging experience preferred
- General: Ability to work in a hospital setting; capable of Day shift responsibilities
