Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic and CT examinations under the direction of the radiologist and department director, applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
- Position patients, select appropriate imaging parameters, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to ALARA and safety protocols.
- Operate CT and radiography equipment; verify patient identity and procedure accuracy; document exams and results.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort; provide age-appropriate care and respond to patient needs during imaging procedures.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, assist with patient transfers and transport, and uphold infection control and equipment sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other team members to ensure timely completion of imaging studies and accurate reporting.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an ARRT-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Licenses/Certifications: Montana state licensed radiologic technologist; ARRT-registered technologist (R).
- Experience/Knowledge: Knowledge of age-appropriate patient care.
