About the role

13-week travel assignment as a CT Tech in a hospital-based imaging department in Los Angeles, CA, beginning 09/14/2026. Weekend coverage is required; no call or floating to other units.

Equipment and systems: GE Lightspeed CT, Canon SP Prime, and Cerner EMR. Day shifts include CT procedures and CT-guided procedures for the Interventional Radiology team.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,761–$2,995.

Schedule

Rotating 5x8 shifts (8-hour days, five days per week). Guaranteed hours are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT imaging studies for adults and/or pediatric patients, following protocol and order specifications.
  • Position patients, monitor comfort, and apply immobilization as needed; adjust exposure factors to optimize image quality while minimizing dose.
  • Administer contrast media as prescribed, observe for adverse reactions, and follow safety protocols.
  • Operate CT equipment (GE Lightspeed or equivalent) and associated hardware, ensuring image quality and patient safety; maintain daily equipment readiness.
  • Work within the Cerner EMR to order entries, document scans, and ensure accurate image labeling and archiving.
  • Collaborate with the Interventional Radiology team for daytime CT-guided procedures; participate in cross-disciplinary communication and patient care as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, inspect supplies, and assist with standard unit procedures and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • CT imaging experience in a busy imaging service environment (preferred).
  • Proficiency with CT scanners such as GE Lightspeed and Canon SP Prime.
  • Experience using Cerner or similar EMR systems; ability to document and track imaging studies accurately.
  • Ability to work a rotating 8-hour shift schedule, including weekend coverage.
  • Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment.
  • Ability to collaborate with Interventional Radiology teams for daytime CT-guided procedures.
