Travel Radiology RN - $2,133 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Radiology (Radiology Technologist) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Lewiston, Maine. TotalMed RN is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians nationwide. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts, with an immediate start. As a Rad Tech you will operate diagnostic imaging equipment, ensure image quality, prepare and care for patients, and maintain records using the McKesson PACS system.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
• Follow physicians’ orders regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging.
• Correctly position the patient and adjust imaging equipment to the appropriate position.
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to self and patient by taking appropriate protection precautions.
• Calibrate imaging equipment.
• Prepare results for physician review.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (some listings note 2 years may be required).
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (R) National Certification.
• State‑specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Qualifications

Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment (e.g., specific state licenses, specialty credentials).

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
