Key Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans, answer questions, ensure comfort; verify patient information; position patients properly; instruct on breathing or stillness.
- Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate CT scanner; administer contrast agents under guidance; monitor equipment for quality images; review and adjust scans as necessary.
- Image Quality and Review: Ensure high-quality images meeting diagnostic standards; work with radiologists; document and discuss imaging procedures with healthcare team.
- Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow safety protocols; maintain sterile, safe environment; monitor patients for adverse reactions; ensure proper patient positioning.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other professionals; document patient information; participate in patient care planning.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot CT scanner equipment; keep logs of use, maintenance, and repairs; ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Radiation Safety and Compliance: Follow radiation safety protocols; adhere to dosage guidelines; comply with healthcare regulations and industry standards.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately document imaging procedures and patient information; ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Patient Education and Support: Educate patients on aftercare, side effects, and follow-up procedures; address patient concerns; maintain patient privacy and dignity.
Qualifications
- Current state certification as a CT Technologist.
- Experience with CT scanning and related procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and patient privacy regulations.

Pay
