About the Role

As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for providing radiation therapy treatments under the supervision of a physician. You will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety during treatment sessions.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed protocols
• Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic health record (Epic)
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and guidelines
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Radiation Therapist in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely
• Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• Completion of an accredited program
• Knowledge of radiation physics and dosimetry

Skills

• Proficiency with the Epic charting system
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
