Education
- Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy required
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy preferred
- This role does not accept experience in lieu of a degree
Licenses and Credentials
- State Radiation Therapist License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred
- ARRT-T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) preferred
Experience
- 1+ years of continuous clinical experience
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate efficient knowledge of all equipment operation, tools, and procedures specific to assigned area, and effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Establish and maintain effective interpersonal professional relationships with physicians, management, peers, patients, and their families
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking, and creativity when resolving issues and conflict
- Handle sensitive and confidential patient information
- Proficient use of Radiation Oncology Information Systems and software, and Hospital Information Systems that integrate with the Department of Radiation Oncology, including ARIA, EPIC, ExacTrac, and Eclipse
