About the role
Feyen Zylstra is seeking a Regional Traveling Project Manager to join their award-winning Nashville, TN office. This role is based out of Nashville and requires up to 80% regional travel.
Responsibilities
- Overall direction, financial and risk management of large commercial and industrial electrical construction projects
- Facilitating and designing the overall project, scope, and deliverables
- Managing the people, resources, goals, and deliverables necessary to make the project successful
- Ensuring the safety of the FZ team is the top priority
- Formulating full-scale project plans with timelines, tasks, resources, and budget
- Prioritizing, delegating, assessing risks, communicating, and multitasking
- Collaborating, directing, and getting the job done when problems arise, things get off track, or emergencies present themselves
- Recognizing the importance of using processes, standards, and early risk assessment to mitigate problems
- Understanding the importance of measuring progress and results, financial and otherwise, and providing clarity and accountability for accurate planning and forecasting
- Building relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and coworkers, being visible and accessible on job sites, influencing others, resolving conflicts, treating others with respect, appreciating differences, collaborating on the big things, and communicating to prevent and avert problems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience in construction project management
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to travel regionally up to 80% of the time
- Experience with managing multiple large projects in electrical construction (strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Bluebeam, Accubid, and MS Office Suite
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience in construction project management
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to travel regionally to project sites required throughout the Middle Tennessee region
