Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $2,310 per week

Job Summary

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position involves delivering high-quality patient care within a specialized unit, supervising licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants, and supporting patient safety and recovery.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift
• A minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience
• Valid nursing license in the state of Iowa
• Location in Des Moines, Iowa
• No minimum years of experience required

Additional Information

• Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans
• Provides timely patient updates, documents interventions and responses accurately, and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Responsible for direct patient care using the nursing process, patient/family education, discharge planning, and communicating changes in patient status
• Supervises ancillary staff, contributes to a positive work environment, and ensures safety compliance
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation and actively pursues professional development
• Prioritizes activities efficiently and performs other duties as requested
